Unseen Meghalaya

A documentary-style series with my wife: Shillong’s cafés, the clearest river in Asia, the whistling village and the scariest trek in the state.

A five-part, documentary-style travel web series filmed in Meghalaya in 2024 with my wife, in partnership with etripto. It starts in Shillong with the five cafés worth your morning, then goes to the Umngot river at Dawki, known for water so clear the boats look suspended. Episode three is Kongthong, the village where every person is given a tune as well as a name. Episode four is Mawlynnong, often called the cleanest village in Asia. The series ends on the Mawryngkhang trek, a bamboo trail along cliffs that is easily the most nerve-testing walk in the state.
