Aerial and FPV cinematography for BBC Studios documentary productions shot across India.
Documentary aerials are about patience more than speed: remote locations, weather that changes by the hour, and a small crew that has to get the shot without disturbing the people or wildlife in it.
Alongside conventional aerials, I flew FPV, which can move through terrain a standard drone cannot: through forest, down a ridge line and into a valley in one continuous shot. Every flight was recced and planned in advance, with permits and safety sign-off handled before the crew arrived.
